OTGS Ambassador: Kleibi
If gigs are the new gold than having someone help you move forward is……….priceless!
Just like we have seen artists collaborate with other artists on the platform, we have had a few amazing people offer to help us grow OTGS; faster, bigger and better. The first one to do so was Kabir, which quite a few of you already have heard from. An intro from him will follow soon.
Today is all about Kleibi (aka Lisa); not only an up and coming DJ in the Amsterdam Techno scene but since recently also an Ambassador for OTGS, leading the outreach to promoters in the Netherlands and Germany.
As we believe that the music industry should be all about real achievements and supporting each other, we have started to give recognition to event promoters for supporting up and coming talent. BIRD Rotterdam being the first to receive this stamp of approval (look for the blue badge!) for their Cloud 8 event with artists such as Fresh Nunas, Cincity and Djeff.
If you know a promoter that should be recognized, please reach out to Kleibi. We would love to talk to them to see how we can support each other!
Kleibi decided to support OTGS because she: “loved the overall idea and goal of OTGS to support young talent and I really think upcoming artists can achieve more if they connect with each other“. We couldn’t be happier that our mission resonates with her!
Kleibi’s goals on OTGS are to get more gigs to expand her performing experience and she “would love to learn how to produce my own music and/or connect with promoters and get some insights into event organization and the planning behind it.” Any producers out there that want to collab?
Through her Dutch friends Kleibi got her first experiences with Electronic Music:
” Joining them to festivals like Awakenings or underground Techno parties also made me fall in love with electronic music. I realized very quickly that I don´t only love Techno, but that I was also super interested in DJing and mixing my own sets. Ever since 2016, I work hard on improving my DJ/ Mixing skills and actually can’t stop searching for the coolest Raves and greatest Techno DJs.
Being very much into (Hard) Techno, she closely follows labels such as:
1. Monnom Black (Berlin):
“This label released records from a lot of my favourite underground artists like VTSS, Dax J, Inhalt der Nacht and I hate Models.”
2. Lenske Records:
“I am a huge fan of Amelie Lens, Farrago, Airod and the whole Lenske Crew. “
“Label run by Charlotte de Witte. I had the chance to get to know Charlotte de Witte in person and join her at one of her KNTXT parties during ADE at Mary Go Wild record store which was definitely one of the best parties I have ever been to. “
Her favorite events include Vault Sessions, Spielraum Amsterdam, Reaktor Events, Awakenings, Rotterdam Rave and some smaller more underground Parties like Eerste Communie, Orphic and Is Burning in Amsterdam.
Since you are now curious to what her music sounds like, you should check out her latest DJ mix posted on OTGS.
Thanks Lisa for your support, we really truly unbelievably appreciate it!
