DJ Media Players (also known as CDJ’s) are used by DJs to play digital music files, normally from a USB drive. In common DJ setups two or more Media Players are combined with a mixer. Most Media Players resemble turntables and have two jog wheels with which the DJ can control the media file for each player. Digital media players frequently include sampling functionality which allows the DJ to get more creative with the available tracks.

The most well-known DJ Media Players (CDJ’s) are the Pioneer CDJ-1000 and CDJ-2000) with the Denon line-up getting more and more recognition as well.
